Right now I'm building this site and finding a new way of working. Drawing, taking photographs, and making things with wood.
Part of this is getting to know new materials, and seeing how they work with things I've done in the past — working out what I like, and trying things.
There's a freedom in this. It takes me back to how I first learned to design and make things — ideas worked out on paper. No easy delete button, limited tools and materials. The mistakes stay, and sometimes the workaround is where the most interesting things are found.
I still don't quite know what I'm building here, but I think that's okay — and probably a good thing. It allows for growth without too much expectation of what it should become.
